About the event

Isatu will demonstrate the full making-process for one of her Bread Cloches that can be used in the oven for cooking and baking bread.

Isatu uses a Potclay's clay body that was formulated with Apache descendent Felipe Ortega to mimic naturally dug clay from Mexico and Central America. She will demonstrate throwing, attaching handles, and burnishing with slip, and answer questions and queries and about the history and unusual material and working properties of the clay.
