Verity Howard Demonstration

This is a "pay what you can" session to ensure access for all. To do this, just select an amount on the booking page. All profits will contribute to increasing the impact of this festival in years to come. 

Verity will demonstrate how to create drawings onto clay slabs using two different monoprinting techniques. Firstly, monoprinting using coloured slip and secondly monoprinting with underglaze. Verity will also show you how to combine these processes to create layered surfaces with depth. Verity will speak about her practice, inspirations and how she uses these techniques in her own work. There will be time at the end for questions and answers.

Verity Howard is an artist who uses clay as a medium for drawing and monoprinting to create sculptural, slab built, ceramic forms. These works explore mystery, trigger memories, generate atmosphere and evoke a sense of place. Verity takes inspiration from the landscape, history and culture in rural Herefordshire.
